My family had a great time at Tom's mine. First they noodled topside and found some beautiful fragments. After that we had the full tour and all came away feeling like we had a real taste of the opal mining of Coober Pedy.

Great service and a lot of new information. We were late for the last tour, so we went for a self-guided tour and we still liked it a lot.

An interesting experience to discover life in a mine.We had a chance to try some machinery but felt a little bit unsafe. Also our guide was a bit addicted and side tracked.

Great to get down a mine and see the workings. Also checked out devining rod and it worked. That was scary. Loved the seams of opal in the walls.
