Good Work

It was nice to learn more about the aboriginal culture, and see dome cute kangaroos, but not a most activity if you already saw some kangaroos.

Owner is very knowledgeable of aboriginal culture but was so very rude to me when I accidentally walked trough the kangaroo door without his approval. He swore at me and embarrassed me in front of my family and caused me to cry. Do not visit this shop as he can not take an apology and will throw you out if... More

Such a nice place to visit. They do great work to help local injured kangaroos. Fed the adults and got to meet little baby Audrey who was the cutest little munchkin. Absolutely fell in love! I bought a gorgeous woven basket and they had some amazing artwork for sale too. Don't forget to leave a donation! Every bit helps.

I alway wanted to go and visit Josephine's - they're doing such a great job and with a lot of dedication - it's so wonderful to see this! And not to be forgotten the gallery they have - it's really a beautiful place to visit in Coober Pedy!

Josephine’s Gallery & Kangaroo Orphanage was a short walk from the tourist park we were staying at in Coober Pedy so we had to stop in. We were there at the noon feeding and being able to cuddle and pet the orphaned and rescued roos was delightful, some of them are so tiny!! It was a lot of fun for... More

The visit here was part of a tour. First, we had half an hour to browse through the artwork, then, we could feed the kangaroos. The highlight was watching the little joey being fed and hoping around. Incredibly cute.

Make sure you get there early as they lock the doors when they take you to see the kangaroos, the gallery has some beautiful indigenous artwork and the kangaroos were so friendly. I am amazed and how much love goes into looking after these baby kangaroos when they come in to them. Amazing job, worth a visit make sure you... More

We visited the gallery, and were surprised to find the owners feeding a tiny baby kangaroo. They care for and raise many orphaned animals whose mum gets hit on the road, often driving 9 hours to Pt. Augusta to the closest vet if required. ( very selfless and caring people) The gallery is great too with some amazing art works,... More
