An Underground church named after the Catacombs in Rome. A place of serenity where week by week we tell others the great news that Jesus still forgives sin for those who seek him.

It was a unique setting for an informal service and the people were friendly and welcoming. The cross and pulpit were made from local trees.

Friendly local lady explained the history of this church and how it had evolved over time. A great example of the CP locals adapting to their environment and their ingenuity.

This place is very interesting and has a great example of how they create the air flow stacks up through the rock to the fresh air above. Take the time and pop in for visit.

Did as part of a tour, which was probably a good idea because we got a full commentary on its construction and its usage. Free to enter, donation would be accepted.

Really enjoyed this unique little church. Interesting pastor who told great stories. So interesting what different symbols meant and so on

I'd imagine the acoustics would be good for a choir, but it was not as spectacular, visually as the Serbian Orthodox Church around the road a bit.

The Catacomb Church is quite separate from the St Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Coober Pedy. The Catacomb Church Anglican (i.e. Church of England)
