It was very much unpredictable to see Serbian Orthodox Church underground in such unusual place as Coober Pedy! Very spiritual experience. Very much natural, but overseas orthodox church in absolutely non-realistic and non-religian based environment

We were informed by our accommodation provided that the church is opened 24 hours 7/7. Arrived at the entrance, there's a big sign indicating to pay before entering. We dropped $10 for 2 persons into the box and were disappointed to find the door locked. Closed. Closed. Closed. No one to refund the money.

We went there with great expectations, after all it did say open 7 days a week. When we got there a family of 4 had deposited their $5.00 each into the box outside the front door thinking it would open the door for them but no. A sign indicating that the church was was closed would have been helpful, as... More

This church had a sign at entrance that we were supposed to pay a substantial entrance fee per person. Not just a donation but a fee. Not sure how I felt about this. There was no one at the church (although the cleaner came at one point). I understand the church has to cover expenses and renovations but felt the... More

Can't really explain the greatness of this church, nothing like it, bigger than the others in town, with beautiful sculptures.

We donated a suggested sum before entering the church. Very uniquely built and underground. Very quiet, peaceful and beautifully decorated.
