Beautiful spot for anyone who loves the coast

Easy to get to. Peaceful spot, a place you can visit for some great photos and just to relax with a coffee and read a book.

I would not recommend this holiday. For the amount paid, the accommodation was very poor. The "Beach Shack" was poorly maintained; especially annoying were leaky fly screens, odour near ground floor bedrooms possibly due to a dead possum, poorly cleaned communal areas. Of necessity, given the building, the bedrooms are of varying size and amenity but it is pot luck... More

I live in Hobart but rarely go up this far but it was sooo worth it. There are multiple camping spots along bay of fires, we went during a long weekend so most were taken but the second spot - the most popular has lovely spots just along the beach, which were all taken but to the right there is... Gorgeous place to see, it was pretty easy to find and we'll signed. Bingalong beach is at the beginning and you drive in and out of little beach roads to see spectacular views and beaches. But allow a few hours as you won't want to leave. We took a drink and nibbles on to the rocks, so really enjoyed the... More

Awesome scenery with beautiful beaches all along the bay. Free camping spots in the national park areas. Arrive early to get a good spot though as they fill up fast. We camped in Grants Lagoon. Really peaceful location - large sites with pit toilets. Bring your own water and firewood. Exploring the beaches and surrounding area would take a couple... More

Driving up the coast drove out here on advice of tourist information center,it was Monday when we were there and was very quiet but I am sure it would be much busier on the weekend. It was low tide when we were there and was nice to be able to get down on to the beaches, the colour of the rocks is... A beautiful place to walk along the beach with some stunning views. We stayed at a free camping spot out near point Binnalong Bay, which was basic but comfortable (drop toilets) but the camp sites were private and well sheltered.

From the views, landscapes, people and the B & Bs in this area, makes me want to go an retire in this part of the world. Came across some great dining experiences as well as the beaches, just stunning, and I live in Queensland!

The Bay of Fires is a fantastic stop on an East Coast Tour of Tasmania. I'd recommend stopping by The Gardens, just before sunset. I enjoyed this time as it was during peak tourist time, but not many tourists were actually present and the sunset make the colours of the rocks look amazing. A must do!

Visited the Bay of Fires including Binalong Bay and The Gardens during what appeared seasonal daytime low tides. The beaches, rocks are beautiful however, due to low tides the exposed rocks which are normally submerged were more visible. The rocks are grey below the waterline affecting the percentage of red and orange colours. The area is very beautiful and would... More
