Want to pick Berries ?? ... then head to Hillwood Berry Farm, just out of Launceston Tasmania ! We spent two and half weeks in Tasmania and visited Hillwood TWICE, once at the beginning of our trip and again the day we were leaving - we LOVED it - the raspberries and the strawberries were totally delicious ! And the... More

No doubting the location is great, the berries are delicious and the sweet desserts are a treat but friendly and professional service from the staff was definitely lacking. Excited to see that savoury food was now on offer, we were disappointed at the limited options. We both chose a sausage roll and salad. The sausage roll was only just warm,... More

My family and I got there kind of late (at 4:15, they closed at 5:00) and really wanted to pick some strawberries. They were kind enough to let us pick in a nearby field (instead of the usual one, which is apparently farther off). Strawberries, which I'm currently eating as I write this, are sweet and tangy. Also, our double... More

Cheap for berries if you pick your own.. nice little cafe and some local produce. We had coffee and a berry pastry. Berries were beautiful. So fresh. Coffee ok but not the best. Can be a bit hard to find if you follow some of the tourist info online. Better to use gps.

Staff didn't make us feel welcome at all, serving customers with black faces. The tone they used to chase people out for stepping into the farm without paying was as if we had commited a crime. Understand if they are understaffed. But I think this is purely an excuse. Won't visit again.

We visited here one afternoon in the hopes of picking / purchasing some delicious berries - we were not disappointed. At the time of our visit it was strawberries and raspberries though the 'picking yourself' catch is not quite as exciting as you might think. More like 'where are the unpecked / unspoiled berries'. The grounds are great for kids;... More

Did a spot of berry picking on a glorious sunny morning and followed up with coffees and ice cream. Great thing for kids- there is playground equipment. Well worth the short drive from Launceston or a stopping point when heading North up the Tamar.

We wanted tp pick some berries so pulled into HIllbrook for srawberries. As strawberry lovers we did not expect to be so utterly delighted with the taste of freshly picked fruit. We paid $10 a kilo to pick the most luscious, totally glorious strawbs we have ever tasted! We loved the no frills, hands on, farm approach of picking these... More

Despite arriving 20 minutes before closing, the staff were very friendly and allowed us to pick our strawberries. Bought some blackberries too but they barely made the car they were so delicious. Thank you for a great family experience.

Some of the staff are perhaps not customer focused. We were spoken to quite rudely and all we asked was what was available and what was the cost. We enjoyed the picking of raspberries. There seemed to be quite a bit of fruit available. We did not try the cafe. After our initial interactions, we didn't want to stay any... More
