Thank you for providing such a rewarding and inspiring trip on the Franklin. The trip was all I could have hoped for. Our two guides Dan and Scott were first class and I appreciate how they were so attentive to safety and looked after us so well. They gave a great history of how the Franklin was saved from damming... More

PLEASE DO NOT BELIEVE THE TA RATINGS. The food is ok, not outstanding. The guides are safe but communicated poorly to our group of eight. In seven days they still didn't know our names. Off river they did their best to use our labour. One of our group, a fit 70 year old, had difficulty with steep hills that needed... More

You get to the Franklin River crossing on the highway between Derwent Bridge and Queenstown. It makes a welcome break from the zig zag road. The grade is easy, with extensive stretches of boardwalk overlooking the water. The walk is about 20 minutes' worth, but I recommend taking longer to soak up the rainforest sights. Don't forget to take a... More

A fantastic short walk if you enjoy fresh air and amazing nature. Another worthwhile stop between Queenstown and Hobart. Only takes about 30min to stroll through.

If you are considering rafting the Franklin, you have to do it with the team from Water By Nature. Brett was fantastic, knows the river better than anyone. The food was great, the scenery unbelievable. The places we stopped to camp each night was the highlight. So untouched. Was a privilege to spend 7 days in this beautiful part of... More

We did this walk, it is quick but it is stunning - it is through native bush on a well maintained track, with lovely photo opportunities and wonderful smells and sounds - there is a good reliable bio-degradable toilet block, and good off highway parking

Writing this review many months after completing the trip with Brett and Klaudia, so time to reflect. The memories only get stronger on what amazing sights we were privileged to see, and fun we had. Read the kit list, watch the safety videos and chat with Brett if you have any concerns. We were well looked after during the booking... More

After visiting Tasmania and the lower Gordon in the late 70's with my family, marching in Sydney to stop the damming of the Franklin and finally getting to fulfil a dream of my dad's (just turned 80) and mine to raft the Franklin River. I researched and called all the tour operators and felt most comfortable with Water by Nature... More

THE best adventure holiday ever! Franzi and Elias make sure everything is taken care of so we experience the amazing Franklin in the safest way possible. Don't miss this experience. BEAUTIFUL beyond description - seriously. Adrian and Franzi are great guides. Food is first class - even if we weren't camping! If you're going to do this, this is the... More

Yearly, since 1985, we take a holiday that is a little off the beaten track. This year it was Franklin River Rafting and it was the best of the best. We have paddled the Whitsundays, walked in New Guinea, cycled in Queensland – something different each year but the Franklin River Rafting takes the cake. It was an unforgettable trip... More
