The Hobart Historic Walk is the iconic must-do introduction to Hobart's fascinating history and famous sandstone buildings. The Old Hobart Pub Tour takes you into Hobart's underbelly doings of a murky past full of brothels, smuggling, alcohol and shady characters. Both are entertaining and informative guided tours, 1 1/2 hours each, set around the famous Waterfront and Salamanca areas.

This short walk (max 2 h.) around the main buildings of Hobart was an excellent introduction to the history of Tasmania. We were lucky to have the guide, a very knowledgeable and friendly lady, to ourselves so learned a lot about life in Hobart, about...More

Found this in the magazine on the plane to Hobart and booked it as soon as we landed. Well worth the 1.5hrs walking around the waterfront learning fascinating history we otherwise would never have heard about. Carrie was thoroughly entertaining with her tales of not...More

Booked the pub tour as the historic walking tour wasn't available the day we were in Hobart. Couldn't have been better! Much more than a pub tour, it was an excellent glimpse into the lifestyle of early Hobart and the interesting characters of the times....More
