Staying in a hotel on the same road we walked past on many occasions. We finally decided to go in and glad we did, it really took us back to the architectural design of the churches back in England. We sat in the pews and...More

One of the oldest cathedrals in Australia, definitely take the time to look at it. Both the outside and inside are worth the time to look. Beautiful

Wandering through the town towards the waterfront kept passing this church, decided to go and have a look. So glad we did. A beautiful old church. Takes you back to old England. The calm atmosphere and beautiful stain glass windows make this a must see.

A true architectural period sandstone gem showcasing the long lost craftsmen skills of the time. The interior is modest compared to some European churches but suits overall. The stained glass windows are delightful. Worth popping in to have a look when passing by.

Such a peaceful place in the middle of the city. There is a series of aboriginal art works that are different to what you would expect to see in a cathedral and really good. They depict the life of Christ i a different way.

The cathedral is situated right in the centre of Hobart and displays beautiful Victorian architecture. The glass windows are just amazing and so are all the details inside the entire building. It is a lovely place to retreat, rest and enjoy tranquility.

It's hard to remember that even though a lot of buildings use sandstone on the exteriors because it was readily available the inside of these buildings use the beautiful exotic woods of Australia. Beautiful Blackwood floors with blue gum ceilings combine with the stain glass...More
