Breath taking views a every turn (and lots of turns) So different from the mountains in Washington State. Made snow balls near the ski resort and was completely surprised how large it was. It would take a hardy soul to get there in winter. Loved the adventure!

Had a wonderful few days travelling around this region. We have quite an old campervan and she struggled at some points so think about whether your car is suitable for high climbing roads! View from the top is gorgeous!

We were travelling south to Lakes Entrance and decided to take the scenic route. The roads are full of twists and turns but the scenery is stunning. However as we rose to ever greater heights, the fog descended until we were in almost total white out. That was soooo scary! If you have a strong stomach and don't mind a... More

Autumn must surely be The Best season in which to tour the Great Alpine Road to Bright and beyond ! The colours of Autumn are superb; postcards 'shots' around every corner :-)) Within the town, equally picturesque, and the surrounding mountains too. Highly recommend - next time: in Winter !!

We took two days to drive the round trip from Melbourne the full length of the Great Alpine Road. First day was the shorter drive from Melbourne through Myrtleford before taking a side trip to climb up the C353 road to the Mount Buffalo chalet before descending again to our overnight stop in Bright. A short drive to Harrietville for... More
