Several other teachers and I took our students on the Liveability of Melbourne tour as part of our Liveability Unit at school. Meyer and Eve were both fantastic with our Year 7s. They were engaging and knowledgeable about the city we live in. The students loved it!

Meyer was great in accommodating our request for the design of a walking tour to suit our location and time needs for a group of 20. The walk he put together was perfect - great balance and pace of history, stories, new facts, interaction and interesting quirks. He definitely knows his content - even able to tell us the history... What a quirky, fascinating tour this was. Perfect for Melbournians,Victorians, or indeed anyone who has "seen the sights" of Melbourne before. The Tour showcases the history of Melbourne; highlighting what was and/or what still is the history of Melbourne that is right under our noses but most of us don't know it is there. Full of historical facts, rumors, myths... More

If you’re going to spend some time in Melbourne i cannot recommend more highly that you take a walk with Meyer. We did the Lanes and Arcades tour in the morning and Meyer took us to places that we actually walked past the day before and didn’t even notice. Fascinating insights on the history of Melbourne from the time it... More

We booked the "Marvellous Melbourne" tour with Meyer Eidelson as part of our research process for a theatre production and it was absolutely worth the effort. While we had read extensively about the era, it was far more interesting to take the walk through Melbourne's laneways and streets with Meyer guiding us through the events and characters of such a... Had a fantastic time with Eve for our Federation school excursion. All the children got involved, as characters, and she made Melbourne history so interesting. We all tasted bush tucker. Even I learnt a lot during this trip!.

The indigenous walk around Half Moon Bay led by Meyer Eidelson is called 'Black Rock Dreaming.' There were only five of us in the tour organised through CAE, which occurs every few months. There will be one in March 2016. You meet in the car park and then walk to the headland where Meyer tells you so many fascinating things... More

This was a brilliant 2 1/2 hour walk. Meyer peeled off the layers of Melbourne's history (industrial, retail, warehousing, street art) as shown in or arcades and lanes. We saw so much in the time, and learnt so much. He is so informative and is able to respond to all the questions we asked. The pace is steady and when... More

Meyer had an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of local indigenous history, culture and plants. This knowledge was imparted with good humour and in a way that made sense to the group of late teen students I took on this tour. Highly recommended :)
