We had a one hour trip which we thoroughly enjoyed - it was an excellent and informative trip. The boat is relatively smallness has history going back to the 1920s. Considering we were sitting outside at the back of the boat, we found the commentary was clear and precise and our captain negotiated very low bridges brilliantly. Of all the... More

A lovely old boat with seating mainly inside but room for about 12 on the open aft deck we enjoyed a leisurely one hour cruise from Southgate. For $22 (adults) you have about 30 minutes upstream plus 30 minutes downstream from the departure point taking in the parks, stadiums and regenerated docklands. On a sunny day it was beautiful and... Really friendly guide and ticket person, lovely boat and good to be out on the river in the heat. Only thing was it was hard to hear the commentary at times over the sound of the engine. However, we still really enjoyed our trip.

We had a lovely boat-ride up both ends of the river. This is a fun kids trip on this well maintained boat. Take some snakes as there is no food on board.

A lovely way to spend an hour sightseeing in Melbourne. We enjoyed the tour aboard a classic old vessel, with a Captan who was happy to share his knowledge of the local area, it's history and attractions... Though not cheap at $50 for a family of four.

Melbourne is beautiful to begin with and seeing it on a boat is the best way to see the city! Best cruise on the Yarra.

Very interesting, comfy seats, good view, decent, if cheesy, audio and an excellent Captain giving his local insight in between audio commentary.

This was a great experience. Sitting back, relaxing, watching the beautiful bird life with a running commentary from ye ol' Captain. Interesting history of Bribie Island and more. A great way to spend an hour or so offering a different view of part of the sunshine coast.

If you want to see the city from the river this is a good way to do it. Takes about an hour and this older boat has just about what you need for a small tour.
