For a Melbourne City beach Black Rock and Half Moon Bay are about as good as it gets without taking too long to get to. Catching the Sandringham Line from the city will get visitors here cheaply, although the drive along Beach Road on a sunny day would be pleasant for tourists if driving were an option. Swimming out to... More

Overlooking the wreck of HMAS Cerberus, pier, water, beach and combined with a magnificent sunset turned our delicious meal into a very special night. A wide choice of menu and wines. Wise to book as it was very busy, service a little slow but attentive. The restaurant is upstairs, casual sidewalk eating overlooking the bay also.

Even though it drizzled my partner & I sat under the umbrella by the water and had the best fish n' chips lunch. We were relaxed, felt unrestricted, talked, laughed and enjoyed each other's company. Being away from the hustle and bustle of busy and loud restaurants on this day was appreciated. Unfortunately we couldn't have any alcohol by the... More

Beautiful and very quiet bay, well worth a visit. Very good restaurant for either a meal or drinks overlooking the bay.Great place for a stroll along the pier. You would have no idea that you are only 20 minutes or so drive from Melbourne.

About 14 of us went here for dinner. Being setup on the 1st floor the view is outstanding. On a warm evening windows are open to enjoy the sea breeze. Food fantastic, staff a little slow, but the food makes up for this. Good night out and sensational position.

It is a very pretty place that has inspired many painters and you can see examples of their work reproduced in the Coastal Art Trail at various points. It also inspired the Australian writer Alex Miller to begin his novel 'Conditions of Faith' with a family swimming... More
