Children's art gallery is a fantastic place for small children, I however advise going early as possible as it does start to become over crowded if it's a not so good day in Melbourne, prams line up all along the side and there is literally...More

Interactive museum. Exploring many themes, including nature, science, biology, psychology, history and more. Good for families, couples, educational groups, individuals, children, young teens. Also has a small garden (rainforest). Store and cafe there. Very close to everything in Melbourne CBD. Concession discounts available.

Very interesting exhibits but we did not spend enough time here to see as much as we wanted to. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Free admission for seniors card holders was an added bonus. Would thoroughly recommend, but allow 3 to 4 hours.

Had limited time so looked through the Aborigonal section and Melbourne history section. They were really good. Loved the whole set up and enjoyed the outdoor walk through the 'forest' between levels. Wish I could have spent longer there!

The section related to the history of Melbourne and of the aboriginal people is simply fantastic, it deserves a visit and time to read the stories. The part related to the natural history is also good, but a bit less interesting.

Great range of exhibits and something for everyone. Took us a good 3-4 hours to look around everything. Would recommend to anyone and a great thing to do on a rainy day.
