Great charming place

Another must in MEL. This is a part of the local past life. Great Cathedral that survived to the time. It is a great place to visit.

Celebrate Easter mass in this marvellously grand structure. Solemn, traditional catholic rites in an overwhelming setting. Stained glass windows, an organ, a beautiful central alter to rival any in Europe make this a spectacular place to visit and to worship in.

We went to St. Patrick's Cathedral on St. Patrick's Day, and appreciated the beautiful architectural structure. An outstanding stained glass window is the focal point inside; the inside felt much like many European churches, and the stone interior does not project a great deal of warmth. The outside pathway and statues are also an important part of the experience.

This is a truely breathtaking structure! The gardens and the Cathedral are amazing! Check the opening hours for the grounds and the Cathedral, they can vary.

I didn't go inside, but the big sign on the outside warmed my heart and made me like Melborne even better.

This is another one of the neo gothic churches in Melbourne that is well worth a look inside. The stained glass windows; magnificent wooden structures, worn by hands and feet over many years; and outside, the gorgeous gargoyles that watch over the structure. I think that because it's not directly in the middle of the city, it doesn't get the... More
