I love the Yarra. From the bridges to the Yarra Bends off Fairfield to where it turns and tumbles into creeks and wetlands in the suburbs of Templestowe and Warrandyte - our stomping ground. Take a cruise from Southbank or view it from high-up. Here’s...More

Nice to walk along the river, plenty of bridge crossings. A bit dirty after some rain but still worth a wander or a cruise

Melbourne is a beautiful city and the Yarra and its banks, especially the southbank distric,t is a great place to spend some time. It's a very picturesque skyline down by the waters edge and there are lots of nice boardwalks along the banks with lots...More

The Yarra winds its way through Melbourne CBD, past South Bank entertainment area, parklands and sporting arenas, and on through the suburbs. You can walk as far as the imagination takes you, via great pathways with the occasional seat under a tree.

A lack luster river with not much to see. Can be missed. The guide mumbled his way through though the complementary beverage was welcomed.

Came across a lovely eaterie facing alongside the Yarra River watching the world go by on a rainy day in November. The gourmet eaterie served fresh crab salads luxury burgers ribs etc under a semi covered roof, busy at lunch times.

I really enjoyed walking along the Yarra river promenade. You can get the best view from multiple pedestrians only bridges. Beware of bicyclists thought - they move very fast!

We walked this area from the arts center to sea life aquarium and enjoyed. There was a rowing competition going on which added to our enjoyment. I did see some trash in areas that had accumulated for a good while and some signs of homeless...More
