This is a great walk beside the river, but the restaurants along here are very expensive and better value can be found in the city. This is a good place to people watch and check out the view.

In town on business, I was looking for something to do on a Saturday. I ended up walking along the Southbank and enjoyed the scenery, various entertainers, and outdoor cafe for a nice flat white and light lunch.

We really enjoyed the South Bank before going to the Footy at the MCG great places to eat and drink. Just watching the world pass by is amazing.

It's so pleasant to walk down the South Bank that you won't even notice the distance. There's a lot to keep your senses occupied. Safe even at night. And clean!

It's a great area for a stroll to take in the views or for dining. You will be spoiled for choice by all the restaurants and cafes. Melbourne have done this really well.

One can spend so much time in this area as there is the walk along the Yarra, many food places ,whether food court or up market cafes, plus shops of variety and the Ferry rides right there at Southbank

South bank is a modern classy area where you don't have to go far to find a great feed. Good atmosphere and good views of the Yarra.

I don't think this is a question. Fact is, I have walked there both day and night and never experienced any issues. No "roughsleepers", no loitering, or potsmoking "disadvantaged" people. Perhaps it's a misconception but... More
