Amazing little getaway
Dec. 2020 • Family
Found an amazing farmstay spot right on the riverside to camp out with my family of 7. We were fortunate enough to be able to use the kayaks here during our stay too. Kids enjoyed fishing and hanging out in the water all day long. We stayed in an onsite camper trailer which made things super easy for us to just show up and start enjoying our break. Highly recommend you get in touch with Stan from Carraban Canoes. He's the man!

Beautiful spot

What a beautiful place to visit. Caravan park right on the water, toilets and a general store. Great for paddle boarding or just lazing about on a lilo.

Lovely spot
Jan. 2020 • Family
A nice scenic spot for a picnic lunch and a swim. Just came for the afternoon and the area was well kept with plenty of benches and seating areas, plus the BBQ facilities were spotless.
The river itself is lovely and there was canoes, paddle boards and boats to hire which is such a great idea. The track and lookout was a nice little walk to see such a spectacular view of both the ocean and the river.
Will definitely be coming back for a longer stay next time - possibly in the caravan park

Great walks and views up the river valley
Aug. 2019
Moore River Estuary is a small picturesque town. The view was amazing and the atmosphere was superb. Beautiful place with combination of ocean and river view - the river is blue and red before it flows into the Indian Ocean.

We would have walked through the sand bar to another island if it was low tide. The sand bar is at the mouth of Moore River separating it from the Indian Ocean on high tide.

There are plenty of activities which we can do at the riverfront to make the most out of our visit. From boating or canoeing up river, swimming, sun baking, fishing, paddling, kayaking, and building sand castles, there's always something for everyone to enjoy. Children can run or sand board down the dunes into the river. Lovely place to just unwind with family.

Weekend road trip from Pinnacles to Lancelin to Guilderton to Yanchep National Park.
Jan. 2020 • Family
My two boys aged 3 and 5 stayed for one night in Guilderton following a day trip to The Pinnacles.
The following day we spent a morning at Moore River. It is such a beautiful spot. The boys enjoyed swimming and kayaking on the river as well as playing in the sand.
We then set off to the Crystal Caves at Yanchep National Park to complete our weekend away.
We will certainly return to Moore River, it will be a place to enjoy visiting again and again!

Moore River visit
Nov. 2019
The Moore River has a story behind that. Last of Rabbit-Proof Fence girls, whose trek home was made into famous film, dies. The youngest of three girls from Western Australia's north-west, whose life story inspired the award-winning film Rabbit-Proof Fence, has died at the age of 95. I suggest to visit this river which is beautiful and which before joining the sea.

Suitable for best photography shooting, Warm and blue waters beaches. Unbelievable view and historical area. But forget to bring own foods & drinks. The area a bit outskirts from town.

Tranquility
Mar. 2019 • Family
Moore river is a great location where the rover meets the ocean, the perfect spot to canoe or swim in the river or swim in the ocean. The Ocean waves can be quite rough so be careful of rips. There is plenty of parking but hard to find on a hot weekend so go early to secure a spot.

One of the most beautiful amazing places I’ve ever been!
The Indian Ocean is one side of the beach and the river is on the other it’s wonderful for families with small children so they can paddle in the river safely or simply play in the sand and build sand castles ❤️❤️❤️

Flies, parking fines but river is ok for kids
Jul. 2019 • Family
Watch it they will fine you in minutes if you don’t get a parking ticket in there fast. Bring your own food unless you like deep fried.

River is pretty stagnant but safe for kids. Beautiful spot at sunset.
