I went on the ride because it was the done thing. Unfortunately a mistake and wont bother again. Apart from polluting the beach, I found the ride uncomfortable.

The setting was absolutely fabulous and the Blue camel operators were very good. The comfort level for someone who has had hip replacements was not good. Sitting on the back made it virtually impossible to sit with any degree of comfort- I think I may...More

Do yourself a favour and do the sunset camel rides. Book early so as not to be disappointed. Sunset on cable beach with camels is just stunning. The lunch time ride is too hot in the midday sun.

Thoroughly enjoyed the walk along the beach and back at sunset. Took some great photos and the tour operators also took photos.

Thoroughly enjoyed our camel ride on Cable Beach at sunset, well worth doing. The camels are well cared for and well behaved.

Arriving early doesn't guarantee you get a good looking camel. Its a lazy stroll down the beach and if you have nothing better to do you should try this

When I say rocking I mean rocking as these ships of the desert do rock you. It's a good sort of being rocked around as it is not shocking, on the contrary it is soothing and something that makes you want to be quiet. The...More

We did the sunset-tour with Red Sun Camels and loved it. Totally recommend this tour to others. We rode Tonku whilst Gerry (the camel behind us) kept making eyes at my husband. She's a lush. Lol. Great day.

The Ships of the Desert Staff might want to qualify this: I weigh 60 kg and I've seen people at least 20 kg heavier on the ride. Each camel carries 2 people, one behind the other, so the camels would be used to carrying... More
