The Alex hotel is located in the heart of Northbridge facing the Brass Monkey. It's rooms are quite small but they have all you need including free movies and luxury shower products. But you won't spend much time in there, you can sit in any of the comfortable lounge areas and there is a baristas always available to make delicious... More

Across the tracks from Downtown Perth, this is the spot where it happens. There are lots of restaurants and watering holes and street art. It is busyish during the day but comes alive at night. Not to be missed!

Northbridge is close by the train station and at first sight may look a bit seedy, however, there are many great ethnic restaurants here, predominantly Asian. We loved it

Northbridge is easily accessible on the free Blue CAT bus loop. Walked around the precinct by day and it was so quiet during the Perth International Arts Festival time. Obviously comes alive at night for dinner and entertainment but travelling solo I did not feel comfortable going there. One would need to have recommendations of knowing where to eat. I... More

Really good area to eat, every different kinds of restaurants here. We ate in a lovely Italian restaurant called Sorrento. The food and service were both excellent. Australian people are so friendly and never rush you.

Tried Aussie steaks and beer at Outback Jacks (James Street) and well worth it. Fortune Five is one of the better Chinese or Cantonese restaurant on the same street. Bangkok on Williams, further up Williams Street has good Thai food and quite authentic.

Northbridge is great fun to walk around and have dinner. However, TOURISTS BEWARE: never stay later than 10.30, avoid getting drunk and losing control. There has been so many fights ending in death in Northbridge. It's a fun place for a stroll and for a meal, btu just excercise caution and avoid late nights.

This is the place to get all your Asian food cravings. There is Malaysian, Korean, Vietnamese, Chinese and so much more. Students get their groceries at the asian marts and butchers. Good chance to get food here on public holidays when many other places are closed.
