Lots of people doing a lot of shopping. It is nice that the street is closed off, so you don't need to worry about cars.

Pedestrian mall with a number of shopping centres and arcades, and loads of shops, no really exciting shops as such but nice are to wander, browse, see the locals and get some food at many cafes (+David Jones food hall!!). London Court tourist trap arcade is here. Also adjacent to Murray street and all CAT bus's go past. Not recommended... More

Hay Street is similar to most Australian city malls. Heaps of big major chain stores with no vehicle access. This makes it easy to move about for pedestrians and shoppers. The mall does have a few buskers which can be entertaining. Their are some heritage building strewn throughout. The mall is well monitored and patrolled which makes it quite safe.... More

There's not a lot going on around here, there are some interesting shops selling various nick knacks and touristy stuff, apart from that, pretty average shopping centre, we enjoyed a coffee and croissant in one of the local coffee house's, and purchased a couple of items, not much else to do, so we wondered off to Elizabeth quay, this is a... I've visited Perth numerous times & I always visit Hay Street Mall for a little shopping. It's disappointing to see a few shops empty so evidently there are a few issues happening in the CBD. Apart from David Jones there is little to interest me in the Hay Street Mall. I actually prefer strolling around the end of the mall... More

Hay St Mall was a fairly typical shopping mall without much character or distinctive buildings that might make it special. There are the usual shops that you can find almost anywhere and if you were not into shopping then there were far better places to walk..

Continued my quest for cows on the colourful Cow Parade in the Hay Street Mall. First time in the Hay Street Mall in around fifteen years...plenty of changes...lots of changes...pedestrian friendly...tourists exploring...many fascinated by the London Court clock chiming every fifteen minutes - will explore the arcade on another visit. Oh...found a cow halfway down the mall amongst the Christmas... More

We went twice during our time in Perth. The second time was great with the Sunday market, music and beautiful sunny day.

You must come here and just wander up and down the mall. The variety of shops available is amazing and it is a pleasant way to waste time

There are a couple of older buildings still preserved nicely, and the usual high street brands are available. Good mix of clothing, accessories, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants and the area can easily be covered in a day or less.
