Situated on the hill across the (very noisy) freeway at top of St Georges Ave the building certainly looks impressive - I can't comment on the interior. Standing on the front steps looking back towards the Avenue you can perhaps understand why they wanted to demolish the Barrack Arch as it completely obscures what would have been an impressive vista.... Parliament House is open for public tours on Monday and Thursday at 10.30 am, or Fridays at 2pm (except public holiday). For groups of 10 or more tours can be booked online. Tours are led by experiences presenters. No cafe/ restaurant available to the public but lots of local cafes around the area.

I was invited by a local parliamentarian for lunch. The service was impeccable while the food was cooked perfectly and delicious.

Parliment House is the home to the people we voted in to run our state. Mmmm, the building is nice from the outside I have not been inside.

I am a Western Australian by birth and I have been in Parliament House many times. The chambers are quite beautiful -- the Legislate Assembly is in green and an the Legislative Council is in red, as is customary in the Commonwealth of Nations. I must say that those in charge of the Parliament, presumably the Presiding Officers, have never... More

I have always thought that the Parliament of Western Australia is one of the best Houses of Parliament in Australia. It's not mock Tudor or Regency, it looks totally Western Australian. Although I have been in the Parliament many times, it is not easy to gain entry. If you wish to visit the Parliament, it's best to find a convenient... More

While waiting for the next CAT bus to arrive in front of the Parliament House, we took a good look at the building. After being used to seeing a grey marble parliament house in Adelaide, this sandy coloured building gave me a different impression of politics.

We visited Parliament House for one of its twice weekly 1 hour tours. The guide (Education Officer) was friendly and very knowledgeable. The building itself is something to behold, the Jarrah wood that is visible throughout and the workmanship that it must have taken is something else. We got the history of the convicts and how they came over from... More

Full of politicians. Rather an impressive building on the outside but needs a bit of a makeover inside. Overlooks Perth and the freeways.
