Lovely area with a DOC campsite for tents and motorhomes if you want to stay for a few days. Full of fantastic trees, streams, hills, fauna and wildlife. Can feel like you are in a LOTR setting and so quiet and relaxing.

While we did not get to stay long, the walks were great and well marked and signed. The tree observation tower was great to see the different layers of the forest and wildlife. Each part seemed to have different vegetation which was also very neat....More

Just visited Pureora for the second time in a couple of years. We stayed at the DOC cabins which are exceptional value for money - just bunks and cooking facilities (with separate ablutions block) but at $24.50 per night what more do you need. The...More
