I have to say you did not see most of animals. To expensive for what you see. Yes lively walk around saw some animals but trees and walkways .I leave the rest for you to see and make your judgement.

Weather was questionable but it didn't matter. Zoo is well laid out, plenty of space for the animals and good viewing spots. The number of animals and the range is great and the NZ area enables a good understanding of the local flora and fauna....More

What a great zoo! Not too expensive and a really great layout. Giraffes and elephants were a real highlight as you can get so close to them. A lot of NZ birds that were great to look at and not too long distances between each...More

It‘s a nice zoo. Worth a visit. I hopped off there from the Explorer Hop-on / Hop- off cit bus tour.

They have a big enclosure for the African animals. A clear glass enclosure for the tiger, where you can see the majestic animal up close. Some interesting local animals too.

You can do tours. But I wouldn't reccomend it. The zoo is so well sign posted. But tours are cheap if you really want to.
