Nice walk around quite a few landmarks that allows you take in Auckland and have a good feel for the place. We only made it as far as mount Eden from Britomart cause it was a pretty hot day.

If you have free time in Auckland, a pair of walking shoes, and no money this might be worth the time. Otherwise, it was definitely not worth it. You'll need a map, as the small arrows marking the walkway are not always in the most...More

The views from Mount Eden and One tree hill are spectacular and we were helped by an excellent guide on Mount Eden. however to find your way to Mount Eden and on to the Hill required a lot of doubling back and asking people the...More

This 16km walk through the city has surprising amount of diversity taking in CBD, parks, volcanoes and residential areas. Although it's pretty well signposted, there were a couple of times where signs were missing or not easy to spot - there is a map that...More

This was a great idea. We got to see so much of the city in one day. But it is not easy, its a long walk, sometimes pretty steep and uneven ground as you head up the volcanoes etc, I dont think you need to...More

I agree with a previous reviewer - head north! We caught the train from Britomart to Onehunga ($5 and about 20 min ride). The walk is lovely and mainly through parks. Signage was great but still a good idea to have the map with you....More
