If you just want to Chill or go for a run or even just a stroll around the domain this is the place to go... The Domain as great walks to go on, a cafe, the Museum isn't to far off and the trees and nature is outstanding.. The winter Gardens are amazing!

Many things to explore here at the Auckland Domain, my top pick would be the Winter Gardens. These glasshouses are absolutely beautiful, filled with many exotic flowers and ferns. Pack a picnic if you can and make a day or afternoon out of it.

This lovely open parkland is the lungs of the city of Auckland and a wonderful asset to the city. The winter gardens part of the park with its beautiful flowers is well worth spending some time enjoying and free. The parkland was well used with several junior cricket matches taking place. It is a wonderful relaxing area and worth spending... More

Located on Park Road in Grafton, 5 minutes away from the city center by car. Apart from being Auckland’s oldest park, I would dare say it is the prettiest. It is so green, so spacious, so full of things to discover! The Wintergardens (free admission), the Auckland War Memorial Museum, the duck ponds, the bushy walks and statuary, the cricket... More

The park is super. There are lots of interesting plants and trees as well as the glasshouses and lily ponds. The museum is there too but needs plenty of time to explore.

This is a very friendly peaceful place to relax, take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city. This despite the fact that it is within the city. If you are visiting the Auckland Museum I highly recommend walking through the Domain on your way. It takes you right there.

I would spend an afternoon off just going for a walk around the Domain, great place just to unwind for the day, plus some good views back over the CBD
