Not as many shops as I remembered. Lots of eateries. A little disappointed. Did find a couple of nice places to have a meal.

Visited Parnell mainly for the Auckland Museum. See my separate review of that. After visiting the museum we walked down into Parnell for the bus into town. Didn’t really see much of interest.

Relatively small but exclusive Auckland suburb. Worth a walk around for the many old buildings, shops and cafes. Note it is easily accessible via the hop on hop off bus.

Another hop-on-hop-off stop at Parnell for a strip of interesting little boutique shops full of interesting things. Lots of choices to eat as well. Worth spending an hour or two, and try out the Tardis old-day red phone box for fun.

We spent some time here, but not that "happening' kind of area. Not as much to do as I had expected. I didn't find the shops that interesting compared to other locations. We did not eat here, so nothing to say about the restaurants .

Area in evening is dead, hardly any people to ask. Mostly university grounds so no one to ask. Disappointed
