Fun especially on a weekend

Busy on weekends or when cruise ships dock. Some very nice restaurants, some with music, some with very upscale food and service. Others - fast food - many choices.

This is a great area to stroll and do some shopping. When you are ready for a break stroll into one of the bars or restaurants and take a tour brochure to pick what you want to do next. This is a great place to people watch! Fun1

Great place to meet up for dinner and drinks. Beautiful setting with so many venue options. I highly recommend Dr Rudi's for an afternoon drink and eats. It got a bit too busy at night but would suit a younger crowd then. The pizza and jalapeño poppers are both out of this world!

Good place to wander around. Many restaurants and cafes located here as is the Maritime Museum. Tourist shops for New Zealand gifts and boat trips can be booked here.

Chilled walk on the viaduct.. go to the fish market if you are there ! Enjoy the stroll, there are nice bars and restaurants and just a couple meters away from the main area in Auckland 'Queen Street '

Sort of pretty but under heavy development, probably worth a visit in 2018 when it will all be done. Nice eateries and bars etc.

I had been here over 10 years ago and it has really changed and expanded. Great place if you are interested in the maritime museum, sailing or having a superb meal with beautiful views!

Great evening spent checking out different locations. Some bars have a theme, for example we went to a Russian bar, and others have liv music. Open to 2am, so make a night of it.

We stayed in nearby Britomart and ventured down twice. Great to walk along. The footbridge is god to watch come up and down to let the vessels through. Plenty of places to eat. There is a nice atmosphere. A small children's playground is located at the end with a wading pool so good to cool off on a hot day.
