Walkable distance from the city center, around 45 min. Very nice view from Auckland. Worth a visit if you have the time.

Such a great view of the city... especially at Golden Hour. The peak can be accessed within 30mins by most people and there are some short-cut which can cut that time in half if you're willing to go "off-road"...

Worth a visit. You have to do the short walk to the top now rather than drive up. If you can't do this then go to the One Tree lookout where you can still drive up but this one is closer to the city skyline....More

This is a must-see place in Auckland, central. There is a short, beautiful walk from the car park to the top of the mountain (it might be a bit steep in some places). On the top, you have a 360 degree view of Auckland and...More

Nice experience, great views and the magic of being at a Volcano Summit. A cool place to be, do some walking, mountain bike, running or just have a 360 degrees Auckland experience. A MUST do when visiting the City of Sails.

Great place to see, the views are breathtaking by day and amazing at night. Take advantage of the photo opportunities or walk down the volcanic hill

Mount Eden is not so high in altitude but it will be perfect spot to watch a sunset above Auckland ! I only recommend wearing sport shoes and some good jacket to protect yourself from the wind that will froze even your small brain!

We walked from the harbor to Mount Eden. Quite pleasant. There are many ways to the top and bottom. We went the long way and it was well worth it. View points along the way.

Hi. Yep absolutely. It's concreted footpath all the way up. So if you go slow, weather is nice and you are wearing comfortable gear - you will be good as gold! Good luck!;)
