I have taken my son a number of times and he always enjoys the star dome experience. If you can go when you get a chance to use theri telescopes then you are in for a treat.

We attended a Night Sky session with our granddaughter, aged 9. The presentation was entertaining, funny and very informative. The presenter was amazing the way he held the attention of a wide age group, some people had obviously been before and were very knowledgable about the stars, galaxies and solar system but were equally entertained as us first time visitors.... Great place to take the kids to learn a bit more about our solar system. Had a great lego display of space exploration. Value for money and my school age kids enjoyed it.

Great value for money. $35 for 2 of pink floyds full albums played to video and lazer light show. 2 alcoholic beverages or juice. Huge cheese platters. Use of big telescopes at half time. Great night out. Highly recommended.

I have been to Stardome five times. There is a lot of planetarium programs. Especialy I like program "The Night Sky". The staff talked Tonight's Starry Sky. Their talking is always nice! (humor, easy, many information)

The staff are friendly and keen to share their knowledge. The presentations are geared to meet different levels of interest and knowledge. Well worth the night telescope viewing sessions.

We had a great time at the Stardome for a school outing. Perfectly pitched towards the range of ages of children. Super interactive with things to do in the foyer as well as the scheduled Stardome learning movie. Afterwards have a sit down and picnic (if weather permits) in the lovely pleasant surrounds of Cromwell park.

This is a very small Observatory but full of information. We did the show in the evening which was fine (I've done better) but quite cheap. Not much else going on in near facinity (cafes, bars, pubs).

Was lucky enough to go to the Stardome to see the 'Summer Sky' show. It was really interesting and entertaining- I loved learning all about the stars and galaxies etc., particularly from an Auckland point of view. The dome itself is very cool- some people may feel a bit motion sick- but the projections are great and it is really... More

Things got off to a bad start as we and many other people drove endlessly around Cornwall Park looking for somewhere to leave the car. We ended up parking on the street outside. They need more parking. Inside some of the exhibits were interesting but there were far too few of them. A few Lego models of space rockets, the... More

Thank you for your feedback. Our car park and the surrounding car parks can get very full during the school holidays. Unfortunately, increasing the size of our car park is beyond our control. We run our school holiday programme during the week days in January and to make the most of the night sky, our first planetarium show isn't until... More
