Lovely oldee worldee cinema, good markets but very busy. Parking is better down the end of the village, away from the hub.

Great food, great relaxed atmosphere with buskers and all sorts of things to do like horse riding. If you want a fantastic start to your weekend come here.

Go early to avoid all the snobs leaving their RR's and pushing their way to the front everywhere. It becomes thoroughly unpleasant!

Love visiting the Matakana Village for the lovely fresh produce. Such a fantastic range of goods from seafood to feijoa wine. Always a great atmosphere especially when there's live music playing.
