The rooms are extremely small. I mean small. They are around 16sqm considering it has been described as 22 sqm ( this includes the toilet, nathroom and the wardrobe) . Very misleading.
I highlightthis to the staff particularly I am clostrophobic and didn't help.
I was told the only option was to have the suit at $2500.
The lifts are bearly functional, the hallways are very dark, everything is white washed in brown paint.
I had to forfeit my payment and book to an alternative hotel.
Extremely unhelpful.
This hotel is over rated. There are many other hotels as we did find

At the present moment, Britomart Precinct looks like a bomb site. There is a huge amount of construction going on. It is quite off-putting. The trains leave from the station below street level. I am a bit put off by construction Which has some years to complete. Allow till mid-2021 before visiting the tiles in the square might be finished. The Americas Cup Base is my preference at Wynyard Quarter.

Pretty cool hotel with an emphasis on sustainability. The only problem I had really was that the rooms were a little small. Seemed that there was not a lot of space to set out our luggage. The location was great and everyone at the hotel was very helpful. I would stay there again

Great easy to use experience. The helpful & friendly staff from the security guards, information team at the trains & the friendly message from the train manager all made for a great Britomart experience. Cool building too- both inside and out.

Green line gets you to where you need to be. Lift for buggy and luggage. Lovely staff. Clean and civilized for transit. Bravo Auckland, a real feat of human transport ala construction a mess outside your doorstep.

Visited the station a couple of times. First on our way to Mt. smart stadium. Couldn’t believe that the trains were free when a ticket to the concert was shown. Trains are fast and comfy, the two times we travelled. Excellent system and a nice big station.

I used to love leaving gear, in the lockers for the day, under the escalator on the lower ground floor of the Auckland Britomart Railway Station. So handy, central, safe. Now they've been moved to what feels like kilometres away to the far end of the station in most difficult place to find and get to. You actually have to beg to get onto a platform without a ticket, then trundle a very long way to a lift or escalator, then to a deserted sparse area that looks rarely visited. In the end, I wasn't too sure about my safety coming back to retrieve my stuff later on - I would have been scared - so I retraced my steps and left Britomart. I had to explain again to the platform guy why I didn't have a ticket to exit the platform. Take your bags to the ferry information kiosk over the road (just through the main ferry building entrance). The actual Britomart station has a nice cafe and a few small shops. It's a pleasant train ride out to Sylvia Park shopping mall. The outside of the building was originally the old General Post Office, very impressive architecture, the inside is modern and, again, very good architecture. My two star review is based solely on my storage locker problem. It's little things like this, on my last day in Auckland, hat sour a whole city for me.

Machine when buying a ticket broke down a very grumpy lady pushed us over to a counter. Mumbling under breath about the machine. Not our fault. Buy a hop card that way you don't have to see grumpy staff

The Britomart building was originally the CPO - Chief Post Office and was built on reclaimed land. It was designed by Claude Paton and architect John Campbell and was opened in 1912. For many years the building was the main postal hub but over the years it fell into decline and was saved from being demolished a number of times.
It was not until recently that Britomart became the main transport hub that it is now and is still growing. The old building has been combined with new architecture with a railway station where the platforms and lines are underground, there is also a bus interchange. I have used Britomart a lot in the past and on our recent visit we used the station when using the suburban trains and is a convenient station for the CBD and harbour

Had a wonderful time just wandering around this area. The market was on when we were there. What a beautiful array of fresh produce-herbs in buckets, fish, salmon, bread, baking and on and on. Lovely coffee, very quick and friendly service. Also had a divine crepe!!!!Mouthwatering!!!!!! These are a must!!Some beautiful shops to browse, shop in. MAC is there. The station for tickets to Sylvia Park and New Market is right there too.Very helpful ticket people.Underground for trains. Very similar to London underground but I have to say, very disappointed in the lack of seating places in the station. Other than that I would say this area is a must to visit.
