Interesting place to visit rain or shine, to learn about New Zealand Culture. And certain times of the year they have set exhibitions. Good place to take children. Wheelchair and pushchair friendly. Small cost to enter exhibitions, and was a good coin donation last time we visited. Perfect for school holidays

Had some good displays and was a nice place to fill in some time on a rainy day. We only looked in the areas that were free, there were two other displays on at the time that were interactive and you could pay to see. Was interesting Bob Marley section that is there for a short period.

A lovely airy museum with a large Waka in the foyer, and WW1 displays which covered the Waikato area

Visited here when they had the DaVinci exhibits & that was wonderful! It was incredible to learn just how much that man achieved in his lifetime. The rest of the museum was quite different - in a good way. There's an area for the kids to learn & it's just as fun for the adults as it is for the... More

Incredibly knowledgeable staff who are beyond passionate about what they do. Exhibits range from New Zealand and Maori culture to internationally significant attractions. The displays are not your typical facts-on-the-wall type, instead using innovative resources to create an immersive and inventive experience. I visit the museum every two years or so - after today, I will change this to once... More

Was a great showcase of the exhibits within the museum, with a tour guide with a vast array of knowledge. Showed a great understanding of knowledge and was able to answer all questions my group had. Overall it was a good experience and a well run facility.
