Moana Park is a highly awarded boutique winery in Hawke's Bay with a focus on low allergen, natural winemaking. The 100% New Zealand, family-owned winery is situated 5km from Taradale, drawing fruit from prime vineyards including Gimblett Road and Dartmoor Valley. The cellar door team aim to provide a unique, casual experience with a focus on spreading their passion for great wine - come and enjoy a relaxed tasting in the valley surrounds without all the pomp. Moana Park's cellar door is open daily for wine tastings, BYO picnics functions and events. We hold special products at cellar door not available anywhere else - our 12 Year Colheita Port has just been released in time for Christmas - delicious.

An intimate boutique winery with very nice wine and friendly winemaker who is not too busy to chat about his wines. Very enjoyable experience and we are still enjoying the wines we took away. I recommend the Viognier.

I love this place, having been here twice now. Staff are always friendly and welcoming and it's a low-key, unpretentious, no pressure experience. A seated tasting, unlike some others where you stand at a bar and thus feel rushed through. We tried 6 wines, no charge, and stayed for a glass in the sunshine. The staff told us next time... More

So, we arrive a midday for a quick tasting. We make it almost to the front door, to be greeted by a harried looking young woman, almost hysterical. "Can I help you?" She says, whilst we're still actually in the car park. My wife and I look at each other. "We're here for some wine tasting." She says "I've just... More

Upon arrival there were two other groups there (small tours) which were keeping the staff busy but they were friendly and let us know we would have to wait. Plenty of tables outside to sit. Although it was close to closing time (5pm), staff did not make up feel rushed and were a pleasure to talk to. We ended up... More

Moana Park is a locally O&O'd winery with a FUNtastic staff and absolutely the best Viognier around -- the most recent 2016 was our fave. No tasting fee and they make a Port that is yummy. Check out their web site for special events particularly their annual "Another Day in Taradise".

Love the wine here and have been a few times and still great wine but when we were here recently we were let down by our guide through the wines as they weren't as engaging as previously

Cycled here from Napier city centre and it was totally worth the effort! Trevor offered a friendly and informative free tasting of 6 different wines in a relaxed, tranquil and picturesque setting. Moana Park create delicious pure wine, devoid of additives & without using animal products. Good value of $45 for 2 wines to take home too.

I visited Moana park as part of a wine tour. The service here was fantastic, we were greeted by Trevor and it was so lovely to have someone so passionate about the winery and wines. He described all the wines we would be tasting and how best to match them with food etc which some of the wineries in the... More

My wife and I visited Moana Winery whilst staying in Napier. Asking the price of the tasting, I was pleasantly surprised to be told by the joint owner that it was free of charge. We tasted five whites and three reds. Additionally he opened a bottle of their 80nzd port which was just ready for sale. This was very good... More

Thank you to Trevor for spending quality time in telling us all about the exceptional wines with such passion and pride. We were very impressed to find such genuine service and beautifully made wines in a unassuming winery. Worth a visit and buy a few bottles for later or as we did joined the Hard Case club.
