The Marine Parade at Napier is a really enchanting stretch where it is possible to have a great seaside walk which is backed by an avenue of Norfolk Pines. We spent an evening just wandering along the parade, enjoying its peace and beauty.

Such a beautiful view. Anyone who visits first time must go there. I recently visited with my parents who came from India. They thoroughly enjoyed the views, and captured the memories.

The Marine Parade in Napier has parks, gardens, memorials, miniature golf, and a sound shell along the shoreline on Hawke Bay. There are many things to see and/or do including New Zealand National Aquarium, a bike track, sunken gardens, a skate park, or a walk along the shoreline.

Motorhomers should avoid parking up along here.
The locals will disturb you by dirt biking along the strip running you down waking you up 3am, 0r 6am in the morning revving their bikes.
Then you get the inconsiderate party people from 12pm-4pm who will curse you out if u tell them to knock it off.
The police wont help you neither the council they blame each other saying it's the others job.
Neither will come out and fined these people to deter the behaviour.
For your peace of mind and having a great holiday avoid marine parade.

Great place to walk and watch the sunrise over the ocean. Long wide walkways and great views. Couldn't not take some photos...

When We went here, the waves are still gigantic due to the swell from the recent earthquake. The beach is very clean and shells are fine. You can easily see from the shore how deep the water is, and the slope of the shore is visibly getting deep.
The parking is quite a challenge on peak hours as this area is a very good place to stroll.
There are water fountains, parks and some playground nearby and kids are enjoying in every corner.
Good place to recharge.

We are coming in from a cruise. We will definitely walk Marine Parade. Can I find beach glass on the beach there?
Thank you,

Can you walk there from where the cruise ship docks? Can you walk in to town from the cruise ship docks?
Written February 12, 2018
Our cruise company provided free shuttle buses right to the town centre. This is on the foreshore beside the marine parade. A short walk to town centre and the parade.
