Very much enjoyed the half day dolphins + hole in the rock cruise operated by Fullers. We took the cruise from Russell while the cruise starts in Paihia 10 mins earlier. If you plan to do the same it's very much worth bearing in mind that the cruise may be quite full by the time it arrives for Russell pick... More

As a family, we did the 'Cream' trip. Very good staff. We covered many islands and went on shore at Urapukapuka. Captain let our youngest drive the boat (we all survived) for a short time and he was really good with all passengers. Some went 'boom netting' which was fun.

We went out on the afternoon trip to the Hole in the Rock and it was amazing! Our Captain got us up close and personal to the rock and she tried her utmost to get us through. Unfortunately the seas were against us and we didn't make it through. It was still amazing to see it up close. We also... More

The tour was all day, 7am-6pm. Our guide Chris was so knowledgable on the local culture, community and history - passionate as well so was great! There is a lot of time on the bus but worth it. Driving on the beach and the sand boarding was the highlights for myself Would recommend and not too bad a price either!

My mum and I did the hole in the rock dolphin cruise earlier in the week was great value for money, boat captain has great knowledgeable commentary throughout the boat ride. Stopped over at an island for lunch which was a lovely setting. Would highly recommend to friends, family and everyone else.

The Cream Trip combines all the cruise options in one full day. We managed to tick most of the boxes: saw a pod of dolphins (but could not swim with them as there were two babies in the pod); Cape Brett lighthouse & Hole in the Rock (too much of a washing machine to go through on our trip), delivered... Well worth it. Beautiful area to do any trip, and this provided all the highlights - dolphins, the hole on the rock, and a spectacular walk on Urupukapuka Island. Thoroughly enjoyed by all of us.

We took the half day Hole in the Rock tour and managed to see a couple of pods of dolphins, visit some amazing locations in the bay and to get out to the Hole in the Rock. Also managed to get ashore for a break on one of the islands, which was picture perfect. Very enjoyable trip.

The half day tour is 4 hours long. It takes you through the Bay of Islands, out to the Hole in the Rock, gives you a half hour on one of the islands, and then on the way back you can stop off at Russell for as long as you like. They give you a ticket (valid for that day)... More
