Only in Rotorua can you see so much thermal activity. This is a nice park to wander and view the steam and mud outlets.

Love going here for a wander around the boiling mud pools. There is also thermal foot pools, totally worth soaking your feet in here, you will feel great after (especially in the winter). There is a great playground for the kids and also public toilets....More

Don't get too excited but if you don't want to pay the expensive tourist dollar then take a walk here, very close to the city centre. A few steam vents and you can certainly get an idea of what Rotorua is all about.

not spectacular but there are quite a number of steam vents and mud pools nicely landscaped with picnic tables by the small lake has a saturday market which is mainly food outlets

This park isn't anything particularly special but it's a great way to see various types of thermal activity for free. More impressive in winter as it's a lot more steamy!

There are plenty of roadside parking spots and there are some carparks that weave in and around Kuirau Park. I never had touble parking in the area because it was a quieter time of the year but the park itself is a nice... More

Sorry for delay in answering- it's open 24 hours, although i am not sure you would at night time as there are not any lights. It's an easy park to go through during the day.
