Its a must!

Spent a wonderful day here, it was free to get in, but the tree walk costs $25.Worth it. The various trails were well marked.

We went for a walk here and enjoyed the trees, the crystal clear water in a stream and the view of the hot pools. The air was clean and I felt recharged after our 90 min walk. Our 9 and 11 year old kids complained at first but myself and my husband really enjoyed this free activity. I would go... More

Incredible feat of engineering and natural scenery. The hanging bridges that span between giant California Redwoods take you about half a kilometre through nearly 15 acres of trees.

We are very fond of these magnificent trees, and while here they are not as grand as in their natural habitat, the forest is still absolutely enchanting. Trails are well marked and well maintained. Must see if you love nature, the redwoods are truly magical creatures.

Reminds me of California's Redwoods. So beautiful! Different hikes of different lengths depending on what you're up for. The park entrance is about 1 mile off of the main road, which is accessible via a local bus from Rotorua city centre. If you're transferring from another local bus, then tell the driver so that they will give you a transfer... More

The iSite has some great information and a decent little shop with some interesting wooden items for sale. We opted not to do the treetop walk, and had a walk along one of the tracks that winds through the bottoms of the trees. Lovely walk on a hot day, felt a lot cooler between the trees. The size of the... More

From the Redwoods iSite visitor centre, there are a range of short and long walks through this redwood forest. We took the shortest walk (with a pram), and thoroughly enjoyed it. I would advise getting there early (before 9am) to avoid the crowds. There is also the Treewalk (suspended rope bridges in the trees), but this is ridiculously expensive at... More

Loved this place. We took the short 30 minutes walk but it took us nearly and hour as we were in awe of the size of the trees and stopped to take lots of picture. With more time to spare and walking shoes we will go back to do a longer walk next time.

We walked the tree tops of the red woods as a family, fortunately we got shouted in. Beautiful walk for all including myself, hubby, master 15, miss 12, master 5 & miss 1. All throughly enjoyed!
