Polynesian Spa is New Zealand’s leading international day spa. In a picturesque, tranquil setting overlooking Lake Rotorua, visitors can enjoy a wonderful fusion of relaxing hot spring pool bathing, sumptuous spa and massage therapies and picturesque lake views. Polynesian Spa has the use of two types of hot mineral water, one alkaline and one acidic, that are the unique point of difference of the operation. Many thousands of visitors to the spa have attested to the remedial effect the hot mineral waters have on such ailments as muscular complaints, arthritis and rheumatism. The Priest and Radium springs are most noted in this respect. We invite you to experience this World Top Ten Spa (natural/thermal/medical), as voted by readers of the prestigious Conde Nast Traveller magazine for several years and once again in 2011. We look forward to welcoming you to Polynesian Spa.

I really loved this place & the view is amazing! Your hole body feels great afterwards. Don't forget a bottle of water. I'm definetly visiting this place again when I visit Rotorua!

The pools are amazing to soak in but if you're looking for a relaxing experience this is not the place. There are seagulls everywhere! We had them flying over our heads, it was really unpleasant. I'm feeling rather generous giving them 4 stars but the pools were quiet nice to soak in. Can't say I'd come back anytime soon though.

So maybe I was unlucky but I decided to visit here on a Wednesday lunchtime. It was nice and quiet in the changing room hardly anybody about. Perfect. I went outside and found 3 men with pressure washers unfortunately who had decided to spread out so that they were next to every pool. I tried to move to a pool... More

Dear Guest Thank you for your review and the constructive feedback that it contains. You may have noticed that our juices are made using real fruit pieces and hence it has been our view that we do not want to contaminate this with ice which then dilutes the flavours. Thank you for your comment though, it bears consideration and hopefully... More

This is a very nice attraction. It did get quiet crowded while I was there. The seagulls were very distracting from the ambience as there were a lot. Another person I got talking to said they had come a few times and first time they had seen this. It's nesting season so not fab. The staff were very friendly and... More

Dear Guest Thank you for your review and the feedback you have shared. I am sorry that you did not enjoy the experience, the birds are a temporary feature and are coming to the end of their gestation period which will then remove the disturbance from this area. It is perfectly natural for geothermal water to appear different in colour... More

A friend and I went to the adult pools at the end of the day for sunset, thinking it would be a relaxing experience. The reception area and outside is deceptive. Both areas look modern however when you go through to the baths and changing rooms its another story. There were literally hundreds of squawking seagulls nesting right next to... More

Dear Guest Thank you for your review. I do apologise for the seagulls, the nesting ground here is a temporary feature and being a protected species in New Zealand we absolutely do not wish to cause them any harm, in order to support the conservation effort around these birds. I am however a little surprised about your comments in regards... More

Great looking from the outside and generally clean inside bit looking a bit tired and quite expensive for what it is. Choose your time carefully so as not to compete with thousands of Asian tourists. That said a good experience

Dear Guest Thank you for your review and the feedback that it contained. Many parts of our building date back to the original structures on this site, which has seen visitors enjoy geothermal bathing for more than a century. We are proud to be playing our role in the heritage of the city and apologise if you viewed these areas... More
