nice visit

I do enjoy the zoo and one of the best things is it is free, yes we can afford to pay but not everyone can. to stroll around at leisure is great.

Free parking at various places, most popular is off Brooklands Rd and up the drive. No need to pay an entry fee, just head on in through the red gates and go see some animals, such as monkeys, pigs and alpacas to name a few. There is also a walk in aviary full of birds. A playground in the middle... More

So impressed with this little zoo and I am an ex zookeeper so I am not that easy to impress! Great, well enriched and designed enclosures - especially liked the arborial monkey enclosures (Squirrel Monkeys and Capuchins) realy well roped so the monkeys don't need to touch the ground if they don't want to. Saw lots of ingenious enrichment ideas... More

Our extended family including 6 children under 8 went here for a picnic on a summers day. The grounds are fenced in making it relaxing for the parents. The selection of animals is great and the kids had a blast running around. Mixing up playground time with visiting the farm animals and other animals like monkeys/meerkats/otters. Can't recommend highly enough

How often can you say you've been to a free zoo. This is fantastic, not a lot of animals but they have a good variety and will keep the kids entertained for hours

A surprise at the top of Brookland park. A lovely spot atop the hill with a small but quality and interesting array of animals. Great for the kids and adults alike. Friendly staff and well worth making a donation to this free attraction to keep it going. Nice spot for a picnic too. Follow with a 'roll' down the hill... More

We visited the zoo several times with our grandchild. It is possibly her favourite place. We loved the free talks about animals. She loved the playground and getting to know the meerkats very well.

This was a really nice surprise. Talking to the staff there they were professional, had good knowledge and training. The enclosures were clean, roomy and comfortable.

We had a lovely stroll around the gardens and bush walk down to Bowl of Brooklands, and then past the historic home and to the Chinese garden before going to the zoo. Zoo much improved from my childhood memories - definitely worth a visit given that it is a free attraction.
