Seeing the dam open is a must see experience. Seeing the rapids flow is so cool to see. Otherwise its an amazing looking river with wonderful views

When the dam opens this is truly an amazing spectacle that everyone should see at least once in there lifetime

we visited these rapids in conjunction with the rapids jet ride. We watched from the bridge which was interesting but not really that spectacular. From the boat ride we learnt more and was interesting to hear the Hobbit anecdotes. Would I make a long journey...More

My family visited here aged from 67 right down to 1 year old and everybody loved it. Taupo has something for everyone. Would definitely recomend
