Wow! The volume of water flowing over this waterfall is mind blowing. Such a beautiful sight. It was easy to drop into whilst travelling south. A must see.

Interesting waterfall. Not vertical but more a horizontal falls. Not sure why the waters really gush down though the gradient is not high. Very pretty. Be sure to go to the Spa pools too which is nearby n free too.

We stopped of at the view point to see the falls. They are really awe inspiring and worth going to see. The power that surges through is scary.

Near the town. Easy to get mesmerized at first viewing point. Other viewing spots just gets better. One of the popular activity in the town within 15 minute of drive.

We parked in the car park at spa road so it was a good hours walk to reach Huka falls. It was a bit more energetic a walk than I was expecting as it was a bit up and down on the walkway but super views along the river.

The view of the water is so incredible. Just like Rivendell in LOTR. Even though the current is so strong but it still safe for people taking picture.

I, for some reason, expected to see a waterfall. As we got to the bridge I was blown away by the power of the water flow. It was mesmerising. We walked the short distance to where the ski boats go and were entertained by their derring-do. Well worth the visit!

A simple, natural phenomenon that is mind boggling once you look beyond its natural beauty. Maths equation is, fast, wide river + narrow gorge = stunning scene. Free to visit and park, a little souvenir hut and a short walk over the falls,or along to a viewing point is all it has in the 21st century. Doesn't need anything else.

Seen plenty of waterfalls but this one amazed. Not very high and certainly not very wide. Most of it is a chute like chasm the water has cut in the rock. But the amount of water flowing is mind boggling. And, you're very close to the water. A must-see if you're in the area.
