It's a place you've got to visit, won't take long but it is mighty impressive. Thousands of litres of water rushing down a small area. The noise is incredible. But you won't spend lots time there and the walk isn't up to much.

This is an awful lot of water squeezing through a fairly small space. It is not a 'falls' in the sense of a 'waterfall' more a very concentrated 300metres of churning whitewater. To visit the falls and the viewpoints alongside is a 15 to 30 minutes visit. But there are also loop walks mapped which could extend your time there

We did the trail to the Huka Falls and enjoyed it. You're getting some great views at the river and going trough deep jungle. The falls itself are giant and the colour is phenomenal! A must see when you're staying in Taupo!

Awesome visit here with lovely walks around the place. The views are amazing. If you're not from this place it's definitely a must see.

nice place to visit, but nothing much to do there... it is a place when you see once its enough... looks like a natural washing machine 😛

Very enjoyable. Easy walk and some additional hiking trails near by. Near the honey bee store. Great views where you can take really good pictures.

We parked at the falls which are spectacular with several viewing places close by in addition. There are several walks. We went upstream for 45 minutes which was mostly wooded and then downstream to the thermal park for an hour which was more pleasant. A very enjoyable few hours.

This place is a really easy short walk from the car park, so no excuse. Options for much longer walks but it was a bit wet the day we were there. The falls arent falls as such but the sound and spray is pretty intense. Definitely go look!

This is just a really cool place to visit. The carpark is right there - it is just a few short steps to your first view of the rapids, and then a quick minute down to the falls themselves. An easy path for walking, and some awesome viewing points. And then there's the mighty Huka Falls. This is not your... More
