My 10 year old grandson had the best day. He literally ran from one activity to another. Staff were friendly and plentiful. Lots of equipment so not too much queuing. Lovely picnic sites. Total pleasure of a day out.

Great evening activity with friends and an opportunity to meet other travellers. We met couples from India, retirees from the UK and a family from Ireland. So much fun and the guides are cool! Wine and cheese by the lake was awesome too!

My partner and I did the evening glow worm tour and it was a real highlight of our time in Tauranga. Our guide was extremely informative (and hilarious!) and made sure we knew all there was to know along the way! The tour starts off with drinks, cheese and biscuits before heading out onto the kayaks. We had a calm... More

I got married here in the function room. Everything was perfect. Photos were absolutely stunning with the wairoa river in the background. Sam the events manager was super friendly, organised & welcoming.

Great for kids with a sense of adventure and oldies wanting to try the kayaks. Staff were more than helpful, even finding me a table and some shade while I watched the grandchildren. My partner tried his hand at kayaking too. Lots of staff to supervise and keep control over any unruly behavior. Beautiful setting too!

I did the night time glow worm kayaking and it was a wonderful, serene and educational experience. It was lightly raining but that didn't make it any less magical. I was supplied with wet weather gear which kept me dry. The scenery was stunning, with warm mulled wine was delicious. The guide was very knowledgeable, experienced, friendly and had us... More

I read about this park on trip advisor and we weren't disappointed. When you first arrive there's only a small parking area which is a bit surprising. Not sure what their usual visitor numbers are but it wasn't overly busy. The park has a number of relatively simple but fun activities. My kids particularly loved the swing rope and the... More

A must do attraction. There's more to do here than we realised. Rock climbing, rope swing into the river, blob, kayaking, swimming, slippery log, slide into the river, slippery slide for the children, playground. Pack a picnic and go for the day, there's plenty of picnic tables and shady areas to park up. Get there on opening time to get... More

We found this a great experience with our teenage kids. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable, and explained exactly how to kayak for those that had not done it before and provided all gear. Nice touch also to start off with fruit, nice cheeses and wines before we started on the river. They provide only kayaks for 2 so... More
