Second best coffee in NZ

Stopped off on the way back from the Great War exhibition just up the road. Fantastic coffee and service in quirky ultra cool place. Highly recommended

I'm just over Wellington coffee. They all told me it was awesome and second to Melbourne. No. It more accurately tastes like airport coffee. Overly milky with the only coffee taste coming through being that of earthy mud kind of taste but not in that good Indonesian way. I would sum up Wellington coffee as overwhelmingly robusta beans with a... More

Have heard such good things about this place but a friend and I popped in today for a coffee and a cake and we just didn't quite enjoy it. Coffee was good but we ordered a doughnut to share and it was so dry (for $6 we thought it would be amazing!). The place looks cool but sitting in the... More

I was drawn to this place by the smell of coffee roasting on an early morning walk through Wellington. Great coffee - watch out Melbourne - something the Kiwi's are excelling in!

Tried to go on the Queens birthday, but alas it was closed. Went the next day, and it's well worth the walk. The absolute best flat whites in NZ! If you like coffee at all, make a stop here while in Wellington!

Visited Havana Coffee Works after reading reviews and passing it the day before on the way to the war memorial. It has a unique and welcoming atmosphere and is most certainly well lived by the locals. You enter through the roastery which is a nice touch - connecting cafe with the bean. Staff are friendly and the coffee is genuinely... More

Havana is my favourite coffee when shopping for beans at the supermarket. For the second time in a couple of months I've had the chance to visit their roastery/cafe. The service and the coffee are great. There is a modest selection of cabinet food, which is well-priced and good quality. The place has a good buzz, with a steady flow... More

I had a couple takeaways from here during a brief stay in Wellington, and it has been the absolute best coffee I have had in NZ. The restaurant area is small and there were always several patrons enjoying bakery items. Part of the charm of this place is that they are toasting the beans right next door! Two thumbs up!

Modest place. Indeed good coffe, but thats all. Better gi and take-away the coffe. Old and not well prepeared food. No wifi and place seems more like old pub.
