Stuck in a traffic jam beneath it - the one highlight was seeing this stunning and eccentric bridge above the road linking the tone to the wharf, and wishing I was on it again.

Lovely piece of architecture worth a stop and look on your trip across Wellington. Good route to access the harbour on your way to Oriental parade or turn left towards more bars.

This bridge is as much artwork as functional bridge. It is covered in Maori artwork and is a joy to see. If you are walking in the area you may need to cross the bridge. Take the time to look at the bridge itself.

Feast for the eyes - stop at each piece of art work and look closely then hang back - seems a different story is told. This area is sometimes mind boggling, sometimes spiritual. Uniquely enchanting and by the waterfront to boot. Great place for a...More

This is quite unique and fun. Worth walking over it. Lovely piece of art that really adds something to the water front.

Beautiful artistic sculpture. It reflects on the Maori's identity and beliefs. I totally love the texture of the wood used and shape with carving details with amazement.

Really enjoyed the walk across this bridge, met a few people along the way - great areas to sit quietly and read or rest as well. Great for photo opportunities....

This bridge is not pretty nor fancy, but I liked it since it looked very unique. It is a link between city centre to waterfront.

Quite an interesting design as you stroll through the area, it certainly catches your eye and encourages you to walk closer to take a better look. We walked around and took a few photos from different areas. This is more of an architectural bridge than...More

This wooden (strange) ‘art’ bridge is the link between the city (civic centre) and the waterfront. In fact it’s just a bridge.
