The best place to explore. Amazing weather for winter. So nice for a drive around all the bays. Take a picnic and sit on one of the many beaches.

Island Bay is an old, established community, lots of querky houses, shops, boats .... easy walking, shopping and cafes !

Island Bay is very popular and we got the impression those who ran the shops etc all knew they were in competition with each other so, in general, standards were high.

We spent a couple of weeks staying in Island Bay and loved it. Close to the CBD for a couple of days seeing attractions or shopping, but an independent community with a small town feel. Fabulous walks up on the ridge or around the bays....More
