Great little beach where you can sit and have a picnic on or off the sand. Lots of passers by so lots to look at, on the promenade or in the water. Nice spot to swim.

As a result of taking son to airport for an early morning flight - we took the opportunity of an early morning walk along the bay. Very pleasant with runners and walkers out and about. Watching the sun raise over the distant hills behind the...More

Went for a beautiful stroll around the harbour last Saturday (autumn). Can't beat wellington on a good day. When it's clear you have to walk along the waterfront and oriental bay.

This is a really nice spot for a walk or run! My walk was great and it is popular with locals having a stroll. Wellington is known for having wild weather with a lot of wind and rain. This walk isn't a very sheltered one,...More

A nice little area along the water front. Got heaps of cafes in the area and is at the base of mount Victoria. The beach itself is clean with nice water. Also has a playground for the children.
