Beautiful Wooden Church

I had a quick visit to here, lovely church surrounded by native trees in bloom in from September to December. There is an American war memorial inside....worth having a look at.

I had a quick visit to here, lovely church surrounded by native trees in bloom in from September to December. There is an American war memorial inside....worth having a look at.

This nice church was next door to my hotel on my recent trip to Wellington. Sadly for the most part it was closed. I managed a quite sneak around inside during a Sunday morning mass, and the church is beautiful, but access is not as open as some other churches in Wellington. as a living congregation they too serve their community. the organ is fine and having been to many Scot's services and Carols over the years i can attest to that.

I only had time to rush past this lovely church, but it certainly did look beautiful. Very well maintained, St Johns certainly stood out from the surrounds. Nestled in amongst a garden of massive and very green trees, the building is great. Not sure if there is an entrance at the south end, but the northern doors were all closed... More
