Was welcomed onboard my skipper Dylan and was immediately impressed.Polished floors and very spacious areas made me feel relaxed and comfortable.Questions were answered regarding the history of the River Queen and an onboard commentary provided during the cruise up the winding river with light background music playing which was refreshing and unobtrusive. Light lunch was very tasty and substanial.Served by... More

We came to Blenheim to get away from the Canterbury shakes for a few days. We noticed the riverboat cruise and decided it would be a good way to relax for a few hours!. What a fantastic trip we had! It was a wonderful journey down the river with excellent commentary which highlighted points of interest along the way. We... More

Great little trip down the river, welcomed on board by a nice fella who explained how the trip was going to work. You have the choice (for the afternoon tea option) between a high tea or a pre dinner nibbles. Food was lovely, a nice blend of local produce. The food, coupled with the vast array of both alcoholic (I... More

Thoroughly enjoyed a trip on the River Queen river boat drifting slowly down the Opawa river. Great platter of local produce included in the trip for lunch. The cruise ends with you joining Helen and Wendy of Na Clachen wine tours for a friendly and informative tour of, in our case, five wineries and the chocolate factory. Brilliant way to... More

I'd walked past the river queen everyday for over a week and kept meaning to check out prices and times. When we did eventually get our act together and make it down there we were so glad we did. The welcome aboard was warm and we were shown around the boat before taking our seats upstairs on a empty deck.... More

Couldn't have wished for a better way to spend a relaxing and interesting couple of hours. The River Queen is beautifully cared for, the scenery was great, but most of all, the crew were amazing, looked after us extremely well, we came away feeling thoroughly spoilt. Highly recommend the trip to anyone

My girlfriend saw the boat and really wanted to go for a ride. We had some very nice nibbles and enjoyed the whole rear end of the boat to ourselves. The drinks prices were reasonable and the owner was a very nice, welcoming host. We had a very nice trip and would definatly recommend to others.

We went on the River Queen for afternoon tea after walking past her moored on the river fairly near to the centre of Blenheim and thinking it would be a nice way to spend an hour and a half. Tickets are easily booked through the Information Office at the old station, which is a five minute walk from where the... More

This was a wonderful trip along the river in Blenheim. The owner and host, Pete, was extremely welcoming and very entertaining. It was fascinating to find out about the boat and the local area. The views were lovely from both the lower and upper deck, with plenty of wildlife along the way. We were given delicious home-made nibbles and there... More

Booking online was really easy, we even got picked up from our hotel and dropped off again after! The views were gorgeous, and I loved seeing the wildlife along side the river. The bar was well stocked and we even had a free wine tasting. It was the perfect thing to do on a chilly April afternoon... glass of wine,... More
