We took some relatives up the Gondola in November when they stayed for a visit and they loved it! It was a nice day so we had a great view! The travel back in time is very informative too! Lovely attraction

This attraction is a bit overpriced in my opinion. As a tourist attraction I can understand that it must be like this tough. If you like hiking you can take a path next to the gondola and walk all the way up by yourself. It’s...More

Always take friends and family who come to visit up the Gondola for a bit of a thrill and to show off the amazing views of Otautahi. As a local resident I buy a annual pass and use it to get up in the hills...More

I hiked up the trail next to the gondola ( 2 miles, 1500 ft). The views into the volcano crater lake are stunningly beautiful.

We caught a bright, sunny day in winter and had spectacular views over the city and over to the Akaroa peninsula. The snow-covered Southern Alps in the distance were beautiful.

Very helpful staff who stopped the gondola so my elderly parents could get on and off safely. Fantastic views at the top, enjoyed the ride at the top, an awesome experience.

Turned up at 1030 with about 50 cars. Place closed. No warning prior to arrival. Ascertained that power issues at the top of the ride. Unknown when it would open. From what we saw for the price yo get maybe a 8 min ride over...More

This is a really beautiful way to view the city and surrounding areas. Once to the top you have views both sides - Christchurch on side and Lyttelton on the other. Well worth spending time wandering around some of the walking tracks from there.
